Health, Safety and Accessibility FAQs

Q: What are your COVID-19 safety policies and procedures?

A: Here at Lightning Bug Music Festival, the safety of the artists, crew, and attendees is our priority. This includes public health. As a result, we are following the path of the current COVID-19 pandemic closely, and staying informed with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Indiana Department of Health.

There is no local requirement to provide a Negative COVID-19 test result, Vaccine Card, or Vaccine Record for entry at this event. If you do not feel well, Lightning Bug Music Festival asks you to stay home.

While we’re fortunate to be an outdoor event which creates a safer environment to enjoy live music, we must all acknowledge that a risk of exposure to COVID-19 remains at any gathering of people. By attending, you assume the risk of exposure to the virus.

If you have questions about vaccines or want to get a vaccine, please visit Vaccines.gov to find the nearest vaccine provider near you.  Current information about COVID-19, and recommendations for isolation and quarantine can be found at the CDC website

Please visit https://www.in.gov/health/erc/infectious-disease-epidemiology/diseases-and-conditions-resource-page/monkeypox/ to learn about how to protect yourself from Monkeypox.

Q: What ADA and accessibility accommodations are available at the festival? Can I bring a service animal?

A: The Lighting Bug Music Festival stage area, camping area and day parking lot are all considered to be ADA accessible. The campgrounds are considered primitive and different areas of the grounds include hills and other unstable ground. Please notify festival staff if you will require a site that is close to the stage area prior to arrival at the festival.

While our entire concert bowl is considered ADA accessible, we do not have an area specifically set aside for seating. There is no seating at this festival. You can bring a chair into the festival bowl and place it in the chair friendly area.

Service animals must be registered and approved by Lightning Bug Music Festival for entry to the festival. Any attendees planning to bring a service animal must email info@lightningbugmusicfestival.com with details on the animal and proof of certification by September 7, 2022, to be considered for approval.
